「夜叉」常出現於日本流行文化，包括在眾多動漫與漫畫作品中亮相；而「般若之面」則象徵著因執念或嫉妒而墮入魔道的靈魂。
《夜叉》撲克牌圍繞著神話與民間傳說中錯綜複雜且色彩斑斕的視覺元素。我們從各式民間故事、傳說與神話中汲取靈感，並從中精選出幾位廣為人知的角色，作為人頭牌（Court cards）設計的藍本。
